Around the release of Days of Abandon, PAINS got approached to do a covers album of a single record. I thought about it for a bit, and eventually chose "Full Moon Fever" by one of my all time songwriting heroes, Tom Petty. Had we gone into the studio as the band we were at the time and tracked it - I think it would have turned out really interesting. But between agreeing to do it and actually doing it several years later, the band basically dissolved and the album was finished in haste-- resulting in something that felt like a lost opportunity.

But I still enjoy many of these songs, especially the ones Kurt Feldman, Jen Goma, and Geoffrey O'Connor took the creative lead on ("Free Fallin," "A Face in the Crowd," "Apartment Song," and "Alright for Now").
